Dedicated to making Maquoketa a better place to live, work, learn, play, and visit.

Maquoketa Betterment Corporation, a 501(c) nonprofit, was established in the 1970s. The organization has led a series of iniatives aiming at local improvements -- its most recent being the redevelopment of the downtown greenspace into Glovik Community Park.

In 2023, Maquoketa Betterment joined forces with the Maquoketa Hometown Pride Committee, which had been leading local projects since 2018. Hometown Pride is a program of Keep Iowa Beautiful.
