This community-wide festival was the brainchild of Patricia Shahrivar who, from her enjoyment of the autumn Halloween season, her desire to bring creative fun to all, and her intent to contribute to the events and attractions in the Maquoketa area, assembled a team and led the birth of this great event.
Its first year was 2025, which saw a month-long series of art workshops and creative events, a gallery show of local artists, and culminating in a day-long celebration starting with an outdoor fair and ending with a costume ball.
